Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao on Sunday denied reports in a section of media claiming that he was planning to join the Telugu Desam Party.
Speaking to media persons here, Kavuri said that he was yet to decide about his future course of action. Denying reports that might join the TDP, he said that he would take a decision in this regard only after consulting his supporters. He also claimed that he neither approached the TDP nor expressed his willingness to join it. He said people were more important to him than parties or posts.
However, Kavuri slammed the Congress party for dividing Andhra Pradesh. Accusing the party of practicising power hunger politics, he alleged that the Congress party ignored its own leaders only to ensure that it returns to power after next elections. (INN)
