Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao today joined Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and M Venkaiah Naidu at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district during a party public meeting called “Vijaya Sankharavam Sabha”.
After garlanding Modi, Kavuri flayed the Congress for adopting family rule at the national level. Kavuri stated that a common man can also become Prime Minister of India. He said the PM post is not just confined to Kings, Queens, Gandhis and Nehrus. Even a common man like Narendra Modi, who was a “Tea” vendor has become Chief Minister of Gujarat State with hard work and perseverance, he said. Now it is the time for BJP to come to power and Modi will become Prime Minister, he said.
Rao asked Modi to take care of poor and common man. He stated BJP will come to power at the Centre and TDP in Andhra Pradesh. (NSS)
