Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Renuka Chowdhary alleged that Nizamabad MP and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha would join the Union Cabinet immediately after the GHMC elections.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday, Renuka Chowdhary alleged that the TRS has already entered into a secret understanding with the BJP for joining the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She said that the TRS has also entered into secret alliances with other parties.
When asked for reaction on Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakaramara Rao’s challenge on GHMC elections, she asked TRS to win the elections without having any secret understanding with MIM or other parties and hold the elections in a fair manner. She said that the TRS was banking on ex-officio members to capture Mayor’s seat. She said KTR’s challenge was hollow and need not be replied.
Renuka Chowdhary questioned change of TRS stand on settlers. She asked whether TRS leaders were willing to apologise for the remarks they made in the past against people who hail from Seemandhra region. (INN)
