Kavitha sees Naidu’s conspiracy against HC division

TRS parliamentary member K Kavitha today lashed out at the Centre for delay in taking a decision to bifurcate high court and Andhra Pradesh Government for trying to sabotage the process.

Addressing the media at TRS Bhavan here on Tuesday, the TRS leader accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh for not reacting on the issue while Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrasbabu Naidu was disinclined to find a solution and instead hatching a conspiracy against the division of the high court.

She demanded that the Centre and Supreme Court react swiftly to address the issues related to the high court and demands of judges and lawyers. Stating that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was displeased at the development of judges under suspension and the advocates taking to streets, Kavitha alleged that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was making deliberate attempts to stall the process of high court bifurcation.

Expressing concern, Kavitha said the high court of combined State was causing injustice to Telangana as it has a meager number of its judges. Even after two years of bifurcation of the united State, the Chandrababu government, at the behest of the Centre, was trying to sabotage the high court split issue she charged. Throwing a challenge, Kavitha asked the Opposition parties to stage protest on the issue and mount pressure on the Centre and options given to judges which is not correct.

She felt that Chandrababu regime was delaying the issue citing the reason that there was no building suitable for the high court in Amaravathi, the capital of divided AP. She deplored that Naidu did not respond on the offer made by the Telangana government land for a high court in Hyderabad. The Centre should find a solution by canceling the suspension of the judges and option given to the judges. Political parties should respond on the issue she added. (NSS)
