Kavitha demands women’s representation in Parliamentary panels

Hyderabad: TRS MP K. Kavitha has demanded more representation for women in the Parliamentary Committees.

Addressing the National Women Legislators Conference in New Delhi on Saturday, Kavitha said that the representation of women was essential in all walks of life. However, she said that the women MPs were not getting adequate representation in the committees constituted in the Parliament. She said all Parliamentary panels should have more number of women as their members.

Kavitha said that the Central schemes like Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao would help in increasing the literacy levels of women. (INN)
