Kavitha to attend Women’s parliament meet at Amaravathi

Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi Chief K Kavitha would participate in the International Women’s Parliament which will be held from February 10 to 13 at Amaravathi in Andhra Pradesh. Kavitha will deliver a lecture on ‘social changes in women empowerment’.

Speaking to the media today, Kavitha said she was feeling happy as she was going to Andhra Pradesh new capital Amaravathi. She opined that politics were different from the relations between human beings. The National Women’s Parliament would discuss on the ‘role of women in politics and the reservations for women in legislative bodies, she revealed and hoped that some good decisions may come from the women parliament.

She also said it was not good on the part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to cancel the appointment given to Telangana all-party delegation, which was supposed to meet him under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrsekhar Rao. (NSS)
