Hyderabad: Sitting MP and TRS candidate Kalvakuntla Kavitha today said the State government will provide double bedroom housing facility for all the poor in the Nizamabad segment in five years.
Addressing a meeting as part of her campaigning at Navipet in Bodhan segment, she said the TRS government has been implementing several schemes to be followed at national level. Since there was delay in completion of the housing facility, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has decided to offer Rs 5 lakh financial assistance to the poor to build house on their own land. The Congress government failed to address the local issues and the TRS rule brought Singur waters to Nizamsagar to cater to the needs of tail-end crops, she said.
Stataing that the poor people were neglected by the previous governments, Kavitha said the TRS government initiated Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima and pension schemes for benefiting the weaker sections in the State. “Our programs were being followed in several States and even at the Centre”, she said, adding that the KCR Government has been offering 24-hour power supply to farm sector and addressed the issue of power Sub-Stations.
“Increased pension will be given to help the physically challenged in the segment from May 1 as against the Congress ignored the Beedi workers’ welfare and we have addressed it besides raising several issues in parliament”. She appealed to the people to give their votes to the TRS candidates and help TRS win 16 MP seats and fight in Parliament to achieve rights.
