Smt K Kavitha Preisdent Telangana Jagruti and MP Nizamabad, on Monday thanked IT and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao for sanctioning Rs 350 crore for development of six municipal bodies under Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency besides allotting an additional Rs 50 crore for construction of an IT incubation centre in Nizamabad. She said the IT tower will be completed within a year and inaugurated by next Dasara. Speaking to reporters after meeting the Minister at the State Secretariat here, Kavitha said that Rama Rao released the funds as per promises made during his recent visit to Nizamabad. While Rs 100 crore was sanctioned for development of Nizamabad town, Rs 50 crore each was sanctioned for five municipalities under Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency. The development works in these municipal bodies will commence shortly. Another Rs 50 crore was sanctioned for construction of an IT incubation centre in Nizamabad. “MLA Ganesh Gupta made efforts to convince about 60 IT firms to establish their units in Nizamabad. The idea is to encourage IT industry development in Tier-II cities of Telangana State,” she said. The MP also pointed out that the State government had already started development of IT Tower in Khammam and more IT parks will be developed across the State. “Efforts are also being made to establish the Turmeric Board in the State,” she said.
