Katju appeals on Facabook to Asad Owaisi, MP of Hyderabad

Dear Mr. Owaisi,

If you do not immediately sit on dharna in front of the residence of the Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR, demanding grant of pardon under Article 161 of the Constitution (not just temporary parole) to Abdul Qadeer who has been in jail for about 25 years, and whose one leg has been amputated, I will brand you as a fraud, who only talks big, but in reality cares two hoots for Muslims.

Your sending letters to the CM and making speeches demanding pardon is only a drama. You must immediately sit on dharna if you really care for Abdul Qadeer
Regards
Justice Katju

The letter written by Justice Markandey Katju , former Chairman, Press Council of India to Asad uddin Owaisi, MP of Hyderabad.

“I have messaged back that I will only talk to him after he sits on dharna before the CM’s house to demand pardon to Abdul Qadeer (not just temporary parole).

“If he does not sit on dharna soon I will regard him as a fraud and dramabaz and ‘politisstitute’, and will have nothing to do with him,” said Katju in his blog.

He also appeals to KCR, honorable CM of Telangana to pardon and release ex-constable Mohammed Abdul Qadeer.

If KCR is serious in releasing Abdul Qadeer who is already in jail for the past 25 years, it will be a good gesture towards his family.

He is suffering from diabetes and one of his legs has been amputated and his health is seriously deteriorating.
The release of Abdul Qadeer will only benefit the politicians and not the katju.

We Hyderabadis should take it with a pinch of salt that Katju is openly advocating Abdul Qadeer’s release wheras we are enjoying the Biryani and Harees.

Justice Katju has started a campaign on social networking websites twitter, Facebook and also on website www.change.org which received an overwhelming response and people irrespective of religion are demanding release on humanitarian basis.
