The surprising thing about the rally is that it was not led by the leaders of any political party. By participating in the rally in large numbers, the youths of the old city have given a message that their conscience is still awake and they are free from any political association. This has created panic among the noted political parties of the city.
The protestors expressed their wrath against the government for not taking any stern action to curb rape cases in the country. They also said that the ruling class is treating such incidents as a routine which results in encouraging the culprits.
