Kathua rape case: Here’s what Javed Akhtar says

Mumbai: Veteran writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar expressed concern over the Kathua rape case. Talking to the newsmen, he said that ‘bad things’ are taking place more often.

According to the report published in Times Now, giving the solution to the rising number of rape cases, he said that smarter and proactive law and order is the short-term solution. Good value system for the boys would be the long-term solution.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha supported stern punishment for the culprits in order to stop such incidents from taking place. She also said that values should be tough to the children. Express her anger over such incidents, she said that maximum punishment should be awarded to culprits.

Meanwhile, Saqib Saleem, Kriti Kharbanda and Mouni Roy and others also expressed their anger over the rape case.

It may be mentioned that in the month of January, an eight-year-old girl, belonging to a nomadic Muslim tribe in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir, was allegedly abducted, drugged, raped, and killed. Her body was found a week later.
