Kashmiri youth are making their presence felt in key Indian services: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh

New Delhi: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said that the youth of Kashmir are heading towards education and development. They are making their presence felt by being part of key services in the country.

Dr Jitendra Singh observed there are only a handful of people who are talking of separation. Kashmiri youth are also joining civil services. 38 candidates have joined IIT. This shows that Kashmiri youth are not lagging behind.

Dr Jitendra Singh told this while speaking during a get-together held by women journalist members of Indian Women’s Press Core (IWPC) New Delhi, led by its President T.K. Rajyalakshmi, on Monday.

During the programme, Jitendra Singh also mentioned triple talaq bill. On this, the women journalists present at the press core objected saying whenever women’s empowerment is talked of, the government points its needle towards Muslim women. Why a particular community always becomes the subject of talk, they asked.
