New Delhi: ‘Dangal’ child actress Zaira Wasim, who portrayed the role of young wrestler Geeta Phogat in the film, was miraculously rescued by locals after her car fell into the Dal Lake on Thursday.
The incident took place at around 9 pm when Zaira was travelling with her friends the speeding car went out of the driver’s control on the Boulevard Road and skid off into the fence along the Dal Lake.
One of the local said. “Locals immediately rescued her and her companion. She escaped unhurt, but her companion sustained injuries in the accident.”
Zaira who has just won a National Film Award, along with Aamir will soon be seen in her next film, Secret Superstar in the lead with Aamir in an extended cameo.
