Kashmiri pandits to organise economic summit in Delhi

Jammu, August 28: Traders and industrialists belonging to the community of Kashmiri pandits are holding an economic summit in New Delhi next month to chalk out plans for development of the group and Jammu and Kashmir.

“Kashyap Progressive Commerce and Commercial Foundation (KPCCF) is holding an economic summit in New Delhi on September 26 to bring together entrepreneurs, industrialists, scientists and scholars to chalk out strategies and plan for economic development and reconstruction of the community and state of Jammu and Kashmir,” media advisor of KPCCF, Rockey Pandita, told reporters here.

KPCCF is an institution to serve the interest of displaced community in commerce, industry and professions in particular and economic development of J&K and country in general, he said.

He further said that the organisation has called for stronger economic engagement in the region to reduce the economic and social gaps as well as a reform driven private-public partnership in Jammu and kashmir.

In the summit, top industrialists, bankers, scientists, corporate executives of the community would suggest ways and means to build a strong network of trade and commerce advisory panel, Pandita said.
