SRINAGAR: A chilling video of a trainee police constable Mohammad Saleem Shah being grilled by the militants emerged on Sunday.
In the video, martyred Saleem was seen answering to the militant’s questioned him about the encounter of Adil Pathan, “Aap maante ho ki aapne Adil Pathan ko shaheed karwaya’ (Do you accept that you killed Adil Pathan?).”
“Haan Haan ..Kabool karta ju ..zabardasti kay bina kabool karte hu…mei manta hu (Yes, I accept. Without any pressure, I accept),” Saleem was seen replying in the video.
Saleem Shah, who was abducted and killed by terrorists in Kulgam district was undergoing training in Police Training School, Kathua, the police said, adding he had come home on leave. He belongs to Mathama village of Kulgam district.
According to police, Saleem Shah was abducted from his Matalhama village and that his bullet-riddled body was found in Qaimoh area of the district on Saturday.
Earlier this month, policeman Javaid Dar was abducted from Shopian district by suspected militants. His body was found dead in Kulgam the next day on July 6.
On June 14, militants had abducted and killed army rifleman Aurangzeb Khan in Shoian district in broad daylight while he was going home to join his family on Eid festival. His bullet-ridden body was found at Gusoo Pulwama.
