Kasganj: CCTV which was installed at Vir Abdul Hamid Chowk of Hulka Mohalla captured the incident which took place on 26th January. Footage shows that children were waving the national flag and local residents were preparing to hoist Indian national flag on Republic Day.
According to the report published in TOI, till 9:51 a.m., residents were busy preparing to hoist tricolor. However, at 9:52 am, around 200 “Tiranga Yatra” youths on motorcycles confronted them.

It may be mentioned that police is analyzing the footage.
A local resident said that for members of Tringa Yatra entered the chowk for the first time. He also said that every year, rallies are taken on the main roads.
Talking about the incident, he said that huge group asked the residents to clear the road. When residents asked them to join them to unfurl the flag, they started raising provocative slogans against the community and began attacking, he added.
A senior officer who is investigating the incident said that police is checking the video, TOI reported.
