Kasab wants to write to Mecca

Mumbai, July 11: Arrested Pakistani gunman Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab on Friday requested the special court for an envelope to write a letter to an unspecified recipient in Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

Towards the end of court proceedings the gunman, accused in 26/11 terror strikes, stood in the dock and told the court, “Sir mujhe ek lifafa chahiye (Sir, I want an envelope)”.

Kasab said that he wanted to write a letter to Saudi Arabia and when asked by the special court that if there were any relatives, the arrested gunman replied that he did not know anyone there.
