Mumbai, Deceember 18: In a dramatic turn in the Mumbai terror attack trial, Ajmal Kasab today completely backtracked on the confession of his participation in the mayhem last year and claimed terror suspect David Headley had met him in the company of FBI officials.
Described by the prosecution lawyer Ujjwal Nikam as a “dramatic actor”, Kasab, the lone gunman captured alive on Nov 26 last year who had created terror and mayhem along with nine other LeT-trained Pakistani terrorists, told the trial court that he had confessed under duress.
Denying his confession before a magistrate and his guilt plea before the trial court, he said he had not participated in the terror attacks and was arrested a day before the November 26 attacks.
“I totally deny the confession made before the Magistrate.
