Chennai, May 13: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M. Karunanidhi resigned from his post on Friday following the dismal performance of his party in the assembly polls.
J Jayalalithaa-led All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) is all set to sweep the fourteenth assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and is leading in 195 of the 234 seats.
The DMK alliance is leading only in 34 seats.
