In response to Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, Karnataka Irrigation ministry is considering to release 15 TMC waters from Narayanapur and Almatti reservoirs to Telangana. According to informed sources, Karnataka Irrigation Minister MB Patil has asked the officials concerned to take necessary steps in this regard.
When S Sunil Irrigation chief engineer of Karnataka handed over a letter written by Harish Rao, Patil asked to hold a meeting with Krishna Bhagya Jala Limited Managing Director for further steps. It may said that Harish wrote a letter to MB Patil to release 15 tmc waters to cater to the drinking needs of twin cities – Hyderabad, Secunderabad and fluoride affected Nalgonda district. (NSS)
