Karnataka Guv murdered democracy, say Congress leaders

Hyderabad: Describing the act of Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala as anti-Constitutional, Telangana State Congress Affairs in-charge RC Khuntia said the entire nation has decided to stage a dharna on May 18 over Karnataka episode. He asked the Congress activists to participate in the dharna against anti-democratic rule in the Karnataka State.

Senior Congress leader Shabbir Ali said democracy was murdered in Karnataka State though JDS chief and Chief Ministerial candidate Kumara Swamy revealed that the BJP was offering Rs 100 crore to his MLAs. He also questioned the silence of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao though democracy was being murdered in Karnataka openly.

CLP leader K Jana Reddy alleged that the BJP was ridiculing the democracy. He opined there was a need to question the misuse of power in the nation. He also informed that his party took a decision to organise protest programs in the State opposing the BJP’s act.

TPCC vice-president Mallu Ravi described the Karnataka Governor’s act as nothing but killing democracy. We will take up protest programs in all constituencies in the state, Jana Reddy revealed. (NSS)
