Karnataka minister Mr. Qamarul Islam said that there is no place for criminals, anti-social elements in Gulbarga. Anti-national elements won’t even get the place for burial. Mr. Qamarul Islam was speaking to press persons after visiting the injured sub inspectors of police Malikarjun and Murli.
Sub-inspectors Malikarjun and Murli were seriously injured during an encounter conducted in pursuit of a rowdy sheeter. The rowdy sheeter Munna was hiding in a house running away from police. Police entered the house after evacuating the housemates. One bullet fired by Munna hit Sub-inspector Malikarjun’s head while another bullet hit sub inspector Murli’s stomach. Both were brought to Hyderabad in critical condition and were admitted to Yashoda hospital and Global hospital respectively. Mr. Qamarul Islam lauded police’s gallantry and assured every possible support from Karnataka government.
