Leader of the Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today said the Karnataka episode on Saturday exposed the BJP antics and “dark face of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Stating that the Karnataka episode has exposed the attempts of the BJP and Prime Minister Modi to foil the democratic verdict against the BJP, Shabbir Ali said the strategies of Congress president Rahul Gandhi have successfully frustrated the BJP schemes and preserved the democratic institutions in the southern State. The Karnataka episode exposed the dark side of the BJP and Modi and their saffronisation game plan, he added. He said BJP leader BS Yeddiyurappa and Pro-tem Speaker K G Boppaiah had no respect for the national anthem as they left the Assembly in frustration. Alleging that the BJP and Modi had demolished all Constitutional institutions like the office of Governor and made attempts to foil the democratic spirit of people of Karnataka, Shabbir said if the people wanted BJP to rule, they would have given full majority to them and not a half-hearted mandate like now.
He said the Congress and JD(S) have come tougher to preserve the Constitution and secularism in the country and stalled the attempts of the BJP to grab power illegally. (NSS)
