Karnataka elections: Muslims miffed over MIM’s attempt to split vote

Hyderabad: MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi will take part in the election campaign in Karnataka on May 4 to persuade Muslim and secular voters to vote in favour of Janata Dal Secular. He will address an election meeting of Janata Dal Secular at Chamrajpet in Bangalore.

According to sources, JDS has appealed TRS and its ally MIM to participate in the election campaign. Janata Dal secular wants to rope in the leader of Muslim party of Hyderabad to participate in the election campaign in Muslim predominant areas. MIM chief has been requested to take part in the election campaign in Bellary besides Chamrajpet.

However, Muslims are miffed over this, fearing that support of Janata Dal Secular may split Muslim vote.
