Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy in ‘tears’ over coalition government

New Delhi: Unhappy with Congress-JD(S) coalition, Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy on Saturday broke down while addressing an event in Bengaluru.

Addressing the JDS workers in an event to felicitate him, CM broke into tears and said he was swallowing the “pain” of running the coalition government like Lord Shiva, who has swallowed poison to protect all the living beings, NewsNation reported.

“You all are happy that one of your brothers has become the Chief Minister. But I am not happy. I am swallowing my pain like Vishakanta (the one who held poison in his throat, Lord Shiva),” Kumaraswamy said.

In order to fail BJP, Congress and the JD(S) had formed the coalition government in Karnataka but the rifts between the two parties soon developed post-poll alliance of the two parties.

Kumaraswamy had earlier mentioned his unhappiness at the coalition and said Karnataka people did not bless him and chose him to be the CM but it was due to Congress party he was selected as CM.
