Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Sunday condoled the death of his Goan counterpart, Manohar Parrikar, who passed away in Panaji following over a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer.
“Extremely saddened to hear the passing away of the Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar. He was respected by all across political lines. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones,” tweeted Kumaraswamy.
Parrikar, 63, passed away on Sunday evening at his residence in Panaji after a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer.
Karnataka Congress chief Dinesh Gundu Rao, state BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa and other political leaders also mourned Parrikar’s death.
