Karnataka blooper: Amit Shah’s translator says ‘PM Modi will destroy nation, vote for him’

Bangalore: Bharatiya Janata Party has been embarrassed once again in Karnataka while campaigning, after Amit Shah’s slip of the tongue, it was the translator who did the goof up. While the party president speaking at a BJP rally in Challkere of Karnataka’s Devanagari district, his translator Prahlad Joshi’s translated him saying, “PM Narendra Modi will not do anything for Dalits, poor and the backward classes. He will damage the nation. Please vote for him.”

However, Shah had actually said: “Siddaramaiah government could not develop Karnataka. You have faith in PM Modi and cast your vote for Yeddyurappa. We will transform Karnataka into the best state in the country.”

Shah’s had on Tuesday left the party wondering with his slip of the tongue in Karnataka as he called BJP’s ministerial candidate BS Yeddyurappa ‘most corrupt’ at a press conference, he then corrected himself and said Siddaramaiah government is corrupt. This had given Congress a good chance to mock BJP.
