Karnataka Assembly Polls: Congress sure of getting majority, says Veerappa Moily

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former CM of Karnataka, Mr. Veerappa Moily rejected the reports of various exit polls and said that Congress will get simple majority in Karnataka.

Talking to the newsmen on 13th May, he said that if people voted on the basis of performance, Congress will get majority. He hoped that Congress party will get simple majority.

Replying to the question that if Congress fails to get majority, what could be the options, he said that after results decision would be taken.

He pointed out that earlier professionals and experts used to conduct exit polls but these days, exit polls are being conducted under the influence of the ideology of the owners of TV channels.

On asking whether Congress will join hands with former PM, Mr. Deve Gowda, Mr. Moily told that he doesn’t want to comment on this issue.

On the election campaign in Karnataka, Mr. Moily told that Congress adopted positive attitude whereas PM Modi had a negative attitude. He also told that if the results of negative campaign are in favour of BJP, only god can save this country.

He refused to comment on the proposal to appoint a Dalit Chief Minister and said that he will not oppose it.
