Karnataka: 40 MIM candidates likely to contest Assembly elections, JD (S) silent on alliance

New Delhi: Around 40 MIM candidates are likely to contest the Karnataka Assembly Elections. On the other hand, JD (S) is silent on the pre-poll alliance.

According to the report published in News 18, MIM leader told that the party did not get any response from JD (S). He also said that JD (S) had asked MIM to wait till Rajya Sabha elections. He further said, “We are considering fielding around 40 candidates”.

It is also reported that JD(S) had struck an alliance with the BSP.

It may be mentioned that MIM is trying to increase its influence outside the home state, Telangana. Earlier too, the party had contested in Assembly Elections of other states.

The Karnataka Assembly elections are scheduled to be held on 12th May while the counting of votes will be done on 15th May.
