Leh, April 24: Thousands of eager followers lined the streets of Leh to welcome Urgan Rinpoche or the Karmapa Rinpoche who arrived here today on a four-day visit.
Representatives of Ladakh Buddhist Association, the Anjuman Moin-ul-Islam, Anjuman Imamia and Hindu Mahasabha received him at the airport.
The Karmapa addressed people and monks at Chokang, a Buddhist temple, and condoled the victims of last year’s flash floods. He will also visit areas affected by flash floods.
