A case was filed in the Karimnagar Court against Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Tuesday by YSRCP former president Singireddy Bhasker Reddy. The court also issued summons to Kodela to appear before the court on April 20.
A few days ago, Sivaprasada Rao, in V channel interview stated he had spent Rs 11.50 crore for the election held in 2014. In his petition, the YSRCP leader stated spending Rs 11.50 crore in an election was against the rules and regulations of the Election code.
After hearing the petition, the Court admitted Bhasker Reddy’s petition and directed Karimnagar Chief Judicial Megistrate to register a case against Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. Following the directions of the Court, Special Mobile PCR Magistrate Satish Kumar registered case under Sections 171E, 171F, 171H, 171I, 200 IPC. (NSS)
