The State government will introduce self-defense training program for girls studying in Classes VII to IX in the High Schools in view of the recent sexual assault cases on girls.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Home Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy said the government would introduce Karate classes for girls to enhance their confidence when they face unforeseen situations. She said the government has decided to introduce moral lessons too to inculcate moral values among the students at high school level.
She said the school managements should take immediate action in the case of harassments of girls. She appealed to the parents to take precautious for safety of their children. (NSS)
