Mumbai, May 03: It was a meeting of surprise. Kapoor in the company of Kapoor. Though they belong to the same family, but Randhir Kapoor and Aditya Raj Kapoor were surprised to meet each other on the sets of a film recently.
The story goes that for his upcoming film SOCIETY, director Rahul Dholakia requested Aditya Raj Kapoor to play a cameo in his film. It was at a very short notice that Aditya was told about it. On the other hand, Randhir Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia were already finalized for the same sequence. So, when Aditya was seen on the sets, Randhir Kapoor first thought that he had come to meet him just like that. But, soon Aditya was stepping into the makeup room which really intrigued the veteran actor. Finally, the whole mystery unraveled when he came to know that Aditya is also part of the sequence.
Adds Aditya, “Randhir was really surprised to see me on the sets. He met me formally enquiring about my family and all and then when he saw me getting into the makeup room he asked me what was I doing there. It was funny since he had no clue that I am also playing a character in the same sequence that he was going to shoot.”
Blame it on the director who got the Kapoors into this confusion. But, in the end the mystery brought the Kapoors face to face on camera for the first time.
