Kalyan: Four of the total seven candidates of AIMIM have been declared winner at Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) 2015 elections, according to the results declared by the election commission.
By entering in Mumbai politics with historic win in Kalyan Dombivali civic polls, the Asaduddin Owaisi led AIMIM repeated its winning show first in the 2014 state election and later on in the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation election.
The MIM candidates Tanzila Ayaz Maulvi and Seema Khan have been declared winner and the names of the other two MIM candidates will be known shortly.
Seema Khan won from the Kachore. Ward no 45 whereas Tanzila Maulvi contested the polls from Gowind Wadi Ward no 34.
The counting is still underway with the Shiv Sena leading on 60 seats out of 122.
The KDMC 2015 elections witnessed bitter fight between BJP and Shiv Sena. The two parties are alliance in the state government, but contested KDMC elections separately.
Shiv-Sena, which ruled the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) with the support from BJP for the last five years, is contesting in 115 wards and the BJP is contesting in 109 wards.
The Asaduddin Owaisi led AIMIM which is on a mission to expand its wings in other parts of India, has fielded 07 candidates.
A whopping 252 independent candidates are also trying their luck.
