Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao today directed the officials concerned to celebrate in grand manner the Centenary festival of noted Telangana literate Kaloji Narayana Rao across the state on Sept 9. He accused the previous governments of neglecting Warangal city which is noted for its history and culture. Now the TRS Government will develop it on par with Hyderabad and attract industries and companies to develop, KCR said. During a review meeting with members of Warangal Kaloji Foundation and officials, he discussed on Kaloji life history, textbooks, memories and works. The CM stated that they will introduce Kaloji’s life history and writings and other such prominent people in school syllabus to be changed from next academic year. As the Andhra rulers destroyed our symbols and removed figures of Telangana prominent people, it is time to give them due recognition, KCR said. He stated that the government will spend adequate money to build an attractive Kaloji Cultural Center at Warangal wherein a Koloji’s life history, memories and literary works will be made available. Stating that he will lay a foundation stone for the building at Warngal and Kaloji birth anniversary will be held on regular basis, he said that he will attend the prominent program to be conducted by the State Government at Ravindra Bharathi on Sept 9. He directed that the officials conduct special programs, essay writing elocution like competitions in all schools. (NSS)
