South African great Jacques Kallis has said that it would be nice if he could end his international career with a World Cup victory, with him as part of the winning side. A motivated Kallis, who would be playing for the Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League later this year, has achieved a lot of prizes in nearly two decades in the game, except for the Cricket World Cup. Kallis, who will get his sixth and final shot at the cricket World Cup just a month after the Big Bash League concludes, said that it would be something that he certainly would cherish and is probably the only that is missing on his CV, reports News.com.au. The all-rounder retired from Test cricket at the end of last year with over 13,000 runs and 292 wickets to his name. With the figures having drawn him up there as arguably the greatest all-rounder ever to play the game, Kallis has never been drawn into the debate. Kallis said that cricket is a game that he has played because he has really enjoyed it and has looked forward to contributing with bat and ball, adding that it is obviously nice to be regarded up there with some of the best, but he is not sure if it is fair to compare eras. Kallis also said that he is proud of what he has achieved and hopefully there”s still a little bit more that he can achieve. (ANI)
