Kalinga Sena threatens Shah Rukh Khan for allegedly hurting sentiments

Odisha: Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan is back in headlines after Kalinga Sena threatened him.

According to the report published in International Business Times, Odisha based outfit by name Kalinga Sen threatened to throw ink on actor Shah Rukh Khan’s face. They alleged that the actor had hurt the sentiments by insulting Odisha’s people and wrongly portraying their culture in the film ‘Ashoka’.

It may be mentioned that in the film ‘Ashoka’ which was released in 2001, Shah Rukh Khan played the role of King Ashoka.

This threat was issued ahead of SRK’s visit to Bhubaneswar to attend the opening ceremony of the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018 which is scheduled to be held on 27th November.

Disclosing the details, Nihar Pani, General Secretary of Kalinga Sena said that arrangements have been made to throw ink and to show black flags to the actor.

Effigies of SRK were also burnt on 11th November.

Meanwhile, a senior police officer said that adequate security arrangement will be made.
