Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is to lay foundation stone for Kaleshwaram project in Karimnagar district on May 2. Having given its nod for Electro Hydro mechanical works the state government has decided to construct a barrage on Godavari at Medigadda in the district. The Government also gave administrative sanction for taking up works worth Rs 7998 cr for the project. The Chief Minister has already approved the works to be taken up such as lift, pump house, head regulator as part of the project. (NSS)
