Kakatiya & Vijayanagaram Kings remembered and Osman Ali Khan is forgotten

Telangana Movement activists for 1969 Telangana expressed their anger for not celebrating the birthday of Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan, ruler of erstwhile Hyderabad State. They told that the State Govt. is celebrating the birthdays of Kakatiya and Vijayanagaram Kings. It is also celebrating the birthdays of the former Chief Ministers of AP but the birthday of the secular ruler of Hyderabad, Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan who ruled Hyderabad for 37 years is not being celebrated by the state Govt.

It only shows the narrow-mindedness of the Govt. of AP. The birthdays which are being celebrated are of the leaders who are mostly from Seema Andhra Region.

Andhra rulers captured Govt. jobs initially, then they sabotaged the Civilization of Telangana. Later, they usurped valuable lands of Telangana Region.

Talking to newsmen yesterday, Mr. K.M. Arifuddin, Convenor, Dr. Chiranjeevi, Co-convenor of the Forum Captain Panduranga Reddy, President voice of Telangana & Dr. M.A. Shoeb of Telangana Action Front told this.

These leaders told that they have decided to celebrate 127th birthday of the late Nizam of Hyderabad at 10 am on 5th April 2013 at Nehru Auditorium of Madina Education Society, Nampally.

They told that the Andhra rulers have completely neglected the Qutub Shahi and Asifjahi rulers. They pointed out that recently, Sri. Krishnadevaraya is 500 years birthday celebrations were held by spending Rs. 500 crore.

The fact is that Nizam VII had constructed the modern Hyderabad. The State Govt. is utilizing the buildings constructed by the late Nizam. It is a humiliation to the people of Telangana.

The Nizam of Hyderabad was not only a former ruler but he was also the first Governor (Raj Pramukh) of erstwhile Hyderabad State after the Independence of India.

It was decided to write a protest letter to Dr. Manmohan Singh, PM and Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, CM of AP demanding to constitute a committee for it.
