Kajol’s beef video: Mamata Banerjee says food habits can’t be dictated

New Delhi: Bollywood actress, Kajol recently got so many negative remarks on social media, when she uploaded a video of a dish prepared with beef. One of her friends Ryan Stephen prepared the dish, which she later clarified was made with buffalo meat instead of ‘beef’.

Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of Bengal on Wednesday came forward in her support and said: “they are trying to dictate what others will eat,” while referring to the people who have become intolerant of others food habits, reported Indian Express.

The chief minister said “I won’t name the actress. She has worked in many films with Shah Rukh Khan. Recently she had posted a video online following which she was harassed and trolled. She had to clarify that it was not beef but buffalo meat. It is an alarming situation.”

Kajol was trolled so negatively that she had to clarify that the dish was prepared with buffalo meat.

She posted the video on April 30, which she later deleted from her Facebook and Instagram accounts.
