Kadiam slams Congress canard on Irrigation

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today alleged that rulers of undivided Andhra Pradesh had ruined Telangana region in all sectors with their step-motherly partisan attitude.
Talking to the media here on Wednesday, Srihari said the Congress and Telugu Desam have no moral right to criticize the TRS Government on irrigation projects or any other scheme. He lashed out at the Congress leaders for looting money allotted to irrigation projects instead of spending for their completion. Now, the TRS Government, he said, has taken up redesigning of irrigation projects for correcting the mistakes of the past governments.
Srihari alleged that irrigation sector in Telangana suffered a lot due to negligence of Seemandhra rulers, who were now making false allegations against the Telangana government. “Our government was committed for speedy completion of the projects. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was keen on completing all pending projects and keep his promises”, he said. The KCR Government was making sincere efforts to bring Krishna and Godavari river waters to Telangana and Hyderabad to cater to the needs of the people, he pointed out. He also asked the Irrigation engineers to complete the works as per the plan and ideals of the government. (NSS)
