Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today called upon the people to become partners in the reconstruction of Telangana State, which was grossly neglected by the previous AP government for decades.
Addressing the people during the festivities of Telangana State Formation Day here, Srihari said the glorious past of Warangal district remained in the dark during the previous governments dominated by Andhra rulers. He also reminded that during the previous regimes, huts put up by the poor in the government lands for shade, were ruthlessly razed and the lands were forcibly occupied by then ruling party leaders. “In contrast, TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was tirelessly working for the development of Warangal district”, he said.
The TRS government would construct double bedroom houses in the government lands and distribute them to the poor and downtrodden sections, he said, adding that the Telangana government has distributed 1.25 lakh house site pattas to poor people in the State. (NSS)
