Hyderabad: Dy. CM of Telangana State and Minister Incharge for Education, Mr. K. Sri Hari raised an objection on “No Detention Policy” of Govt. of India and said that in Telangana, this scheme cannot be implemented.
It may be mentioned that Central Govt. nominated Mr. K. Sri Hari the chairman of “Beti Bacho, Beti Padhao” scheme recently.
Mr. Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister for HRD had recently convened the meeting of Central Advisory Board of Secondary Education in which Ministers of Education from the States and other officials participated. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Sri Hari told that for the educational backwardness of the students, “No Detention Policy” cannot be made responsible. He mentioned various other reasons for the deterioration of educational standards.
