Hyderabad: Impressed by the best performance of Mr. A.K. Khan, DGP of ACB, in Note-for-Vote investigation case, Mr. KCR is likely to elevate him as DGP of Telangana State. He was made in charge of Special Task Force for making arrangements for iftar party.
It may be noted that after the bifurcation of A.P. State, Mr. Khan was allotted to Telangana State. Mr. Anurag Sharma was nominated as in charge DGP of Telangana State in March last year. A panel of six IPS officer was sent to UPSC for the selection of DGP. It included Mr. Anurag Sharma (1982), Mr. T.P. Das (1979), Mr. A.K. Khan (1979), Mr. K. Durga Prasad (1981), Mr. Navneet Rajan Wasan (1980) and Ms. Aruna Bahuguna (1979). The name of Mr. A.K. Khan is seriously being considered for appointing him as police chief.
