Nizamabad MP Mrs. K Kavita conducted a special meeting with the Muslims of Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency and reviewed the problems of Muslims. Besides leaders belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami, Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat, Jamiat Ahle Hadeeth, Jamiat Ulama, senior citizens, teacher organisation PRTU and others were presented on the occasion. All the leaders present unanimously demanded 12% reservations to Muslims. On this MP Mrs. K Kavita told that TRS government is bound to provide 12% reservations to Muslims. Letter has been sent to central government and she assured to raise the issue in parliament.
She claimed that Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao is keen to provide all support to Muslims and serious measures are being taken in this connection. President Jamiat Ulama Hafez Layeeq Khan demanded 12% reservations. Ahmed Abdul Azeem Jamat-e-Islami said Sachar Committee report is enough to implement 12 % reservations. He also demanded establishment of Unani Medical College, Urdu Medium Degree College, Hajj House in Nizamabad. Maulana Kareemuddin Kamal of Sunni Jamat demanded Rs. 25 lakh to Madina Eidgah, Rs. 8000 to Imam and Rs. 5000 to Muezzin besides 12% percent reservations. PRTU Secretary Khaja Moinuddin, Shazad Raza Telangana Public Service Commission, Abid Farooqui Bodhan, Senior Citizens Welfare Society President M A Shukoor and others put forth various demands.
