New Delhi: Two persons, including a juvenile, have been accused by a 15-year-old girl of raping her over a period of two-and-a-half years in central Delhi’s IP Estate area, police said today.
The girl alleged that the accused raped her on different occasions over a period of two-and-a-half years, whenever she was alone at home, a senior police officer said.
On the complaint of the victim’s family, a case under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act was registered yesterday, he said.
A 60-year-old man was arrested. The minor has been apprehended and sent to a juvenile home, the officer said.
The victim’s parents are engaged in small-time jobs and she used to stay alone at home many times. Both the accused used to stay in her neighbourhood.
“Initially, the juvenile allegedly used to sexually assault her and after the 60-year-old man came to know about it, he also targeted the girl,” police said, adding they also threatened to kill her if she informed anyone about it.
