Justin Timberlake’s record label sued for ‘Suit and Tie’

Los Angeles: Executives at Justin Timberlake’s record label are facing a lawsuit over his hit song “Suit And Tie”.

Two members of 1970’s R&B group Sly, Slick and Wicked claim Timberlake’s track, which features Jay Z, samples their song Sho’ Nuff, which was produced by James Brown, reported TMZ.

Bosses at Universal Music Group paid to sample the song, but did not acquire the rights to the vocal performances featured.

The musicians also claim they did not give permission for their sample to be used in a Bud Light commercial.

They are seeking unspecified damages from executives at Universal Music Group, Anheuser-Busch, and publishers and producers of the song.
