Justice Sardar Ali Khan was an eminent son of Telangana-Ved Kumar

A colloquium was organized by Telangana Resource Center to commemorate Barrister Sardar Ali Khan who passed away last week.

Mr. Ved Kumar, Chairman of Telangana Resource Center presided over the meeting. Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, President Movement for Peace and Justice.

Maulana Syed Tariq Quadri, General Secretary of Soofi Academy. Mr. Osman Shheed, Advocate addressed the gathering and paid rich tributes to his social activities done for society.

Mr. Ved Kumar said that he was an eminent son of Telangana. His motto of life was to serve the community. He told that Telangana Movement is indebted to him for his unstinted support. He represented the cause of Telangana at all levels.

He announced that Telangana Resource Center would publish his biography. He appealed to his family members to provide relevant material to him to facilitate him to compile this book. He also demanded the Govt. to name a road or park after him. He told that we should erect memorials to commemorate our leaders as the Andhra rulers do. He stressed the need to make representation to the Govt. to erect a memorial in honor of our great intellectual.

Maulana Hamid Mohammed Khan told that he had listened to his speech for the first time in Makka Masjid on the occasion of Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) birthday celebrations. He told that the introduction he gave about Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) was marvelous. He told that he was an intellectual thinker, scholar and a great jurist. His representations on Minority issues made in U.N.O are unforgettable. He further told that he played a key role in Telangana Movement also. He informed that an important meeting of Telangana Joint Action Committee was scheduled to be held under his chairmanship. He told that there is no substitute of Mr. Sardar Ali Khan at present.

Addressing the gathering, Maulana Syed Tariuq Quadri told that in the sad demise of Barrister Sardar Ali Khan, we lost an eminent jurist and an intellectual. The vacuum caused by him can’t be filled.

Mr. Osman Shaheed, Advocate applauded the efforts made by Telangana Resource Center for organizing the colloquium to commemorate Barrister Sardar Ali Khan. He told that a nation that doesn’t recollect the deeds of its ancestors is thrown into oblivion. Mr. Asif Ali Khan, son of Barrister Sardar Ali Khan also addressed the gathering. Audience offered prayer for the departed soul.
