Giving his opinion on injustices meted out towards Muslims in Telangana region, the revolutionary singer and poet Gadar said that the meaning of justice, provision of rights was totally changed in the self-styled democracy. Despite kingship In Telangana region, Asif Jah VII, on the proposal of selling drinking water had announced to end his own life instead of selling drinking water. Mr. Gadar alleged investors and opportunist politicians, of changing the meaning of democratic system and using browbeaten sections as vote bank. Declaring the injustices meted out to Muslims in 58 years of united Andhra Pradesh state as the plain murder of democracy, he said while the Indian constitution provides grants and reservations to backward classes, the opportunist politicians on power conspired to deprive downtrodden and backward class from those grants and reservations.
Mr. Gadar asserted that Muslims of Telangana were at maximum loss due to formation of united Andhra. Communal elements and officers tried to prove Muslim youth as terrorists.
For the formation of sampurna Telangana State, justice to Muslims is imperative. Firstly it is necessary to raze the wall of suspicion raised around Muslim youth. Mr. Gadar termed the protection and restoration of Waqf properties effective for the change in condition of Telangana Muslims. He also advocated reservation to Muslims proportionate to their population.
He claimed that ratio of Muslims and other backward classes put together in Telangana will be more than 80 pc hence if Muslims and the said sections come together on a common platform the exploitation of backward classes including Muslims can be stopped.
