Hyderabad, January 24: “Instead of harassing me and my family members constantly, just shoot me,” said Kadapa MP Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday after his relative N. Sunil Reddy was arrested in the Emaar scam case.
An exasperated Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy told a gathering during the Odarpu Yatra in Gurajara town that the Congress and the Telugu Desam had hatched a conspiracy to harass him and his family members. Instead of foisting cases and harassing him, it was better to just shoot him, he said, expressing concern over the deteriorating ethics in politics in the state.
The YSR Congress chief wondered whether AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Man-mohan Singh did not recognise the sincerity and clean image of his father YSR. Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy also predicted that the TD candidates would lose their deposits in the coming Assembly elections in the state and once again demanded a CBI inquiry into the assets of TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu and questioned how Mr Naidu had set up Heritage outlets across the state.
